Downes Elementary School kids are motivated by local author Marci Inden, a former teacher.
Marci Inden, a local author who just released her first children's book, spent the day at Downes.
Marci Inden reading her book to hundreds of students in kindergarten through fourth grade.
Marci Inden began writing "Chester and the Tall Lady: A Story of Home and Family" while still teaching in 2005.
Inden was inspired to write the book after adopting a cocker spaniel named Chester.
